BOO!

Hi everyone!

I would like to start this blog with a fun shopping tip just in time for Halloween (I know it can be a scary thought at times):

Do not be afraid of the back of the store!

It is your friend : ) There are gems to be found in the sections that are farthest from the entrance, believe you me. You don’t always have to roll up your sleeves for major digging, either – sometimes those shoes you’ve been eyeing for months are just staring you in the face, waiting for your arrival.

Now, that’s not to say that there will be no digging at all, should you choose to trek to the back of the store, but sometimes it’s worth it! I have definitely found some great deals while sifting in the tail end – shoes, tops, even jeans! When I finally get through the forest of full-priced items to the front and walk out of the store, it makes me smile to look at my receipt and see how much I’ve saved.

You should try it – it’s wonderful for the skin : )

Just a note: I’m not knocking the front of the store and all the glamorous, pretty things they have to offer – some of it is quite great. However, I am Salesgirl, and finding a good bargain is what I’m all about! Another note: I’m more of an Old Navy / Gap / Target / Macy’s / JC Penney / Marshalls / TJ Maxx / DSW / Payless kinda girl – there is no Prada hanging in my closet. That’s not to say I only buy cheap things or cheaply made things (or that I wouldn't love me some Prada!). I believe you can find some very pretty items at those stores (and more!); even apparel for work. You've just gotta look ; )

I hope you have enjoyed my first fun shopping tip – if you have any stories about finds from the back of the store (even at an outlet store – those are wonderful!), please feel free to share with me!

Penny : )
